Welcome

I was born and grew up in Bremen. There, after graduating from high school, I studied art and German at the University of Bremen to become a secondary school teacher. This was followed by six semesters of graphic design at the Bremen Art Academy.
In 1982 I moved to Berlin and since then I have worked continuously at the Federal Employment Agency in various areas of administration and mainly in statistics in the field of labor market statistics. There I was able to pursue my interest in mathematics while increasingly devoting myself to photography in my free time.
From April 2nd to June 30th, 2007 I was allowed to exhibit 30 of my photos from the Algarve (Portugal) in Berlin at Hertie in Turmstrasse. And from November 15, 2008 to the end of February 2009, my photos on the subject of "The Color Red" hung there. In the meantime, Hertie has long since ceased to exist and I increasingly lacked the time for further exhibitions in other places besides work. Instead, a friend and me organized a group for Berlin photographers on google+, with whom we also regularly organized photo walks.
At the beginning of 2020 I took early retirement in order to initially take longer trips with my husband. Because next to photography, traveling is my greatest passion.
Long-distance trips were of course canceled due to Corona, but we were and are still on the road a lot with our old VW bus T4, preferably in Norway and Sweden.
And after a previous provider has discontinued its services, I have now decided to gradually build a new homepage. Meanwhile, my interest in exhibiting some of my photos is also growing again.
